Aida (Wreck), Maritime Zone, Tunisia

Known as "Alga," this wreck is situated 8 km from the coast and the center of Maritime Zone. The ship rests at a maximum depth of 20 meters. On October 7, 1942, this heavily armed Italian military cargo vessel departed from Palermo, only to be torpedoed off the coast of Djerba on October 9, 1942, by the British submarine "Unbeding."
