The Salpatxot-Guix area is located to the north of the Meda Gran, sheltered from the southerly winds. This area is known for its gentle slope and shallow depth, with impressive blocks of rock ending in a vast meadow of Posidonia.

The large blocks of rock in Salpatxot-Guix are home to groupers, corvallos and sea bass. Often, schools of bream and castanets can be seen swimming around. If we look carefully at the deep blue, it is not uncommon to see barracudas and kites.

In the areas of Posidonia Oceanica, we find crustaceans, schools of small fish and the large bivalve Pinna Nobilis, commonly known as Nagra, an endangered species.

During certain seasons, it is possible to see tuna and sunfish in the area. In addition, the nearby Medes Islands, with their extraordinary biodiversity and spectacular underwater landscapes, offer an ideal habitat for a wide variety of marine species. This marine archipelago is a premier diving destination, attracting divers who want to explore new and fascinating dive sites.
