Punta Salines, l'Estartit, Spain

Punta Salines is located on the Costa del Montgrí, near l'Estartit. It is a very quiet area and protected from the south winds.

The underwater landscape in Punta Salines is mixed and fascinating. The dive takes place in a bay where the inner bottom is formed by rocks that descend gently, forming tongues that go deep into the sand. At the tip, a vertical wall is formed that reaches greater depths, creating an ideal environment for underwater exploration.

The marine life in Punta Salines is rich and varied. On a small wall of gorgonians in the coralligenous zone, colonies of small red coral, lobsters, groupers, forkbeards, breams, sea breams, octopuses and flabelins can be found. This dive site is home to a diverse fauna typical of coral reef areas, offering a unique experience for divers.
