The Dofí is a fascinating set of tunnels located in the Meda Petita. This site owes its name to the statue of a dolphin that stands on the south face of the main tunnel.

The underwater landscape of El Dofí is spectacular, composed of several tunnels including the Dofi tunnel, the long tunnel, the cathedral and the inner tube. The calcareous characteristics of the area create impressive plays of light and shadow along the route, offering a unique visual experience for divers. Opting for the route to the Herminia provides a shallow dive, suitable for all levels, with a rocky and irregular bottom.

The marine life in El Dofí is rich and varied thanks to the diversity of tunnels and branches. Here you can find sea langoustines, three-tailed, corvallos, scorpionfish, forkbeards and some conger eels that live between the multiple cavities of the tunnel. The outer walls are inhabited by coralligenous fauna, including bryozoans, gorgonians, and one of the most abundant colonies of red coral in the Medes Islands.

In the Herminia area, the number of hiding places provided by the rocky bottom allows the presence of corvallos, breams, salps, groupers, forkbeards, scorpionfish and castanets. This dive site, along with other spots around the Medes Islands, offers exceptional biodiversity and stunning underwater landscapes, making it a premier diving destination for underwater adventurers.
